Black History Month Profiles: Mike Wright

This year, for Black History Month, we’re taking a look at a group of leaders who are currently active making Black history across the labor movement. Today’s profile is Mike Wright of the Mine Workers (UMWA).

Mike Wright is a striking miner at Warrior Met Coal in Birmingham, Alabama. Wright and his union siblings have been on strike since April 1, 2021, fighting nonstop for the contract they deserve!
