WASHINGTON, Aug. 16, 2022 — The IAM Rail Division released the following statement:
“The White House has received the Presidential Emergency Board recommendation regarding National Freight Rail Negotiations. The IAM Rail Division is closely reviewing the recommendation. We are scheduled to meet with the National Railway Labor Conference in the coming days and will work toward a tentative agreement for our members to vote on. We will be sharing more details with our members soon. We thank our members for their continued solidarity through this process and continue to work toward a tentative agreement that treats our hardworking, essential freight rail members with the respect they deserve.”
The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) is among North America’s largest industrial trade unions and represents nearly 600,000 active and retired members in the manufacturing, aerospace, defense, airline, railroad, transportation, and shipbuilding, woodworking, health care, and other industries.
